Dolphin Alarms Ltd, set up by John Barstead in 2005, operates principally from its headquarters in Oxfordshire, England.

Some years ago I heard about a young child drowning in a neighbor’s pool – he had only been out of sight for a matter of seconds. The whole community was devastated and it struck me how easily, with the right kind of alarm system, this accident could be prevented. It was then that I decided to start Dolphin Alarms Ltd. I began work with my technical director Bernhard Diebold, and we developed the Dolphin Aquasonic alarm.

Simple But Effective

The result is a simple but very effective alarm system. The design is compact, practical, and extremely easy to use. The alarm device emits a loud penetrating sound from both the receiver unit in the water and the remote unit inside the house (see products) – a fact not necessarily the case with other alarms.
